Hawaiian Story Time and Lei Day

Wednesday, May 1, 2024 1 pm to 2 pm

Location: Monongahela Area Library

May Day is known as Lei Day, a significant holiday in Hawaii.

To start our celebration of Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, listen to our storyteller Adam Kimokeo-Mitomi as he regales us with folktales of the Hawaiian hero demigod Maui and his many adventures.

All those who gather to listen will be invited to make a Hawaiian-style lei.

This is an all-ages program provided by Rivers of Steel Arts and Heritage Corporation.
