Join us for a series of Japanese Art workshops.
We will introduce patrons to two forms of traditional Japanese Art to celebrate Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month.
- We will start with perhaps the most well-known form, Origami (May 11th), the art of folding paper.
- Next, we’ll move to Gyotaku (May 25th), the art of fish printing used to record a fisherman’s catch in a time before cameras.
Rivers of Steel Heritage Corporation, in partnership with the Monongahela Area Library, is bringing us this series of traditional folk art.
Please pre-register for each segment, as space and supplies are limited.
