Two major construction projects over the summer and into the fall of 2023.
Construction Projects
- concrete and handrail replacement on our outside steps
- bathroom renovations
El Grande Industries in Donora, PA, completed the steps, and MacBracey Corporation in Washington, PA, completed the bathrooms. Kulak-George Architects in Monongahela oversaw both projects.
Aluminum Handrails
The aluminum handrails for the steps, and running the length of our wheelchair-accessible ramp, were chosen for their ability to stand the test of time and not rust, which tends to invade concrete in the long run.
Bathrooms
The bathrooms each meet ADA accessibility standards, have changing tables for children, and no-touch features for washing your hands.
Thank You
Both projects were specifically requested, and an anonymous donation funded these renovations. LSA Grant funds were also used for the bathroom renovation. The library is so thankful to our donors, grant givers, and all our patrons for their patience and understanding throughout the work.
