We have some exciting news to share!
Thanks to a generous grant from the Community CARE Fund at Washington County Community Foundation, the Monongahela Area Library will be getting all new carpeting throughout our library! This grant is specific to replacing our carpeting which has been here since 1987!
We are so grateful for the support and love that our library receives from our community, donors, and organizations like WCCF!
With this great news, of course, we need to plan for the work to be done. We will be closed to the public from Saturday, May 10-Saturday, May 31 in order to prep, have the work done, and get ourselves back together.
Don't worry if you have books out during those times, they can be returned to any Washington County library and we encourage you to visit our sister libraries while we are closed. Our online features will also still be available during that time.
We'll share any more details as the process unfolds. This is a first extended renovation closure for us so we're learning as we go. Thank you!
